members and friends toward using their earthly treasures to help perpetuate
the mission of Hope Presbyterian Church for future generations.

Giving is a simple expression of faith. It is also a complex and
far-reaching act that can transform the way we live. Witness firsthand the
positive effects of giving. Churches thrive. Lives are enriched,
strengthened, even saved. Communities are improved,
enhanced and made whole. Our world becomes a better place. Yet it all begins
with a simple act of charity. Opening a purse. Writing a check. Remembering
the church in your will. Planning to give ... as you experience a change in
your life -- your outlook. Yet giving can transform the way you live, the
way you plan, the way your worship. Giving empowers us to be faithful
Christians. It can also change the world we live in today and for tomorrow.

Report 2002 of Presbyterian Foundation, PCUSA
From the 2002 Annual Report:
We are faced with so many needs each day. At the same time, we are
blessed with so many gifts. Following Christ's path, we seek to be good
stewards who make prudent decisions on sharing the blessings we have been
given.
The gifts received by The Generation to Generation Fund are invested for
the benefit of Hope Presbyterian Church now and into the future. Please
understand that only the earnings from these investments are used to expand
and perpetuate the mission of Hope. This activity, while providing for
beneficial church programs, also provides a vehicle for personal peace and
satisfaction through individual participation.
You can participate by placing a bequest in your will, setting up trusts
& annuities, life insurance, charitable trusts, direct gifts of cash and
securities, or by donating property that can be used or sold. No gift is too
small.
We have started two new programs in the Spring 2004, both of which have
been well received-
- Heartbeats of Hope Birthday Fund: in March 2004, we
introduced a program of giving to the G2G fund by individuals in their
birthday month. You can give the amount of dollars equal to your age
on your birthday. This way a small, special contribution to the
endowment program is made when large gifts are harder to give now and it
gets the children involved in the life-long connection early.
- Circle of Hope: in May 2006, we celebrated our fourth year
"anniversary" with a special Wills Emphasis Sunday and Commitment Giving
Luncheon. An important part of any endowment program is to
acknowledge and thank those that have made a commitment to include the
church in some manner in their estate planning. The purpose is not
to be exclusive, but inclusive in coming together to celebrate the joy of
giving and to encourage each other to share that commitment with others.
