Youth Choir in New Robes!
Youth in grades 6-12 have many opportunities to participate
in vocal and instrumental music groups as part of the Youth
Choir & Handbells, which meet Sundays 4:30 to 6:15
p.m. before Youth Fellowship. Everyone has an
opportunity to participate in singing with a choir and
ringing handbells or handchimes.
Rehearsals start at 4:30 on Sunday afternoons
with Youth Handbells
in the Sanctuary and Youth Handchimes in Room W4. Youth
Choir rehearsal for both Jr. and Sr. High starts at 5:15
p.m. in Room W3. (You decide if you want to do either or both!)
The Youth Choir leads several worship services each
year, including a service during the fall, Christmas Eve
at 6:00 p.m., Maundy Thursday during Holy week and
Seeker Sunday in April. They also sing for the Family
Advent Service on the first Sunday in December and with
the Adult Choir for A Festival of Carols each
year.
For students who play a band or orchestra instrument,
the Student Instrumental Ensemble plays for several
services throughout the year. In addition, there are many
opportunities for instrumentalists to play in small ensembles
and as soloists.
All students in grades 6-12 are welcome to join
these groups, and you do not have to be a member of Hope Church
to participate! If you'd like to know more about the Youth
Choir, Handbells & Handchimes, ask any choir member or contact
